happy dance!

I am so excited to have finished my queen size scrappy trip around the world quilt top!  But, boy was this a stinker to photograph.  I looked like a monkey climbing a ladder and dangling in the sunniest spot that I could find.  ha ha ha.
I truly enjoyed every single step in creating this quilt!  It is actually a little sad to see it come to an end!  However, that is ok, because once it is quilted, it will cover our spare bed and will keep our loved ones who come to visit, snuggly warm.
I have been hording six yards of Lori Holt's Sew Cherry backing fabric for just this.  Isn't it so cute?!  It makes me smile!  And since the quilt measures 97" x 97", I will end up sewing a band through the center to make it fit.  Still debating on what that will be.  wink.

  10. Queen size? You are brave! I made a throw size, but someday would like to make another. Maybe the next one will be bigger.

  11. So pretty! You always use fabric prints that make me smile. I may need to revisit this pattern, I made some blocks a few years back, but they were given away ~

  12. Hi Trish!! Happy Dancin' with ya :) It's so wonderful and the Sew Cherry for the backing makes me smile big time!!! Are you hand quilting, or sending it out to be quilted??? Can't wait to see the finish. Mine is sitting in stack with the backing and binding fabric ready to go. This may just be the push I need!!! xoxo

  18. Loved it! Trip around the world is such a happy quilt, I still smile every time I see mine. I like how you are putting yours together in a straight line.
By the way, I got my order from the shop and I love my new pincushion. It's nice and weighty so it stays put instead of sliding around, love it!
