finishing the dresser, comments from my son, a blogging hug

Ok ... I have resolved to just move forward with my dresser and finish painting with the latex. It is just about complete and I figure, it doesn't look so bad. :o)
Lesson learned!
Above is an updated picture. I still need to paint the front of the drawers and get the hardware. Plus some pretty fabric (runner), lamp, a picture and project complete!

Today I ran a few errands in town. Dropped by the consignment store and found this ...

painting preparations (cost of chair $2.99)

I told the cashier that I was going to paint it and place a frame on it for display. My son turns to me and says, "You got that off of blogging didn't you?" Very observant ey?! I started looking around my home when I got in and realized, "Holy Cow! 90% of what I have done are projects off of blogs!"

This little guy just hopped right up there!

I am so thankful to all of you for the many creative ideas plus the encouragement to go for it and try something new! Not to mention the cheering me on and confidence you share that causes me to keep moving forward, even after a potential disaster (yep-referring to the dresser).
Aren't we our worst critic? I sure am.

I feel very blessed for the new friendships that are growing through
meeting you ladies in blogging! You are the best! Big blog hugs!

I think that the dresser is looking wonderful; I can't wait to see it when you're finished with it! :) That's a great idea to paint the chair and put a frame on top! :) (I love that bunny!)

    Have a great day! :)
