Welcome to my new blogging background (Isn't it cute? Can't take any credit for it though.), compliments of the "cutest blog on the block." My husband and I have not had the time to sit down and really get into creating my blog design just like I want it. Well that is partially true, he has patiently told me that when I have my mind made up on the design and look of it all, he will work his magic ... see the problem lies with me ... I have found such cute images of floral fabrics and colors that it is driving me nuts on making a final decision. I suppose that is one reason why I love quilts to much. I can put all the fabrics together in one place and enjoy them all ... right in one spot.
Speaking of fabric ... if you heard a loud squeal coming from Mississippi yesterday, yep, it was me! We have a store south of our town that buys out other store (Macy's, Mervyn's, Target, WalMart, etc) clearance items and then, sells them to the general public for 50-90% off of that. No lie! It is a hit and miss sort of store, but it is a huge store and offers everything under the sun. The name is Hudson's ... oh and get this ... what doesn't sell here goes across the street (theoretically speaking) to a store called Dirt Cheap. Where, yes you guessed it, they practically give it away. I don't care too much for Dirt Cheap. I prefer Hudson's.
Ok, on to the treasures I unearthed yesterday ... can you guess what store Hudson's purchased from? Joann Fabrics!! They have TONS of fabric and all at ... are you sitting down ... 80% off! I went straight to the patterned flannels. What should have cost me $89.00 only cost $18.00!!
Pictures are everything to us bloggers and I promise I will get some taken and posted! But right now I am working on my first cup of coffee, still in my robe, and awaiting the school bus for my children. After which a shower is in order as well as that second cup of coffee, a couple loads of laundry, and my sweet little 1 year old nephew to babysit! He is such a joy and delight! I always look forward to our days together!
That store sounds great! Wish there was something up here like that. Glad you are happy with your purchases. Love the new blog and it's very hard to decide on one! Which is why I love the format you used. You can change when the mood strikes you to change!! Nice job on picking the cherries.

ReplyDeleteI sure wish there was a store like that here! I was actually out yesterday and today looking for some fabric to maybe make a new window treatment in my kitchen. I like so many different things that it is hard to make a decision. Can't wait to see what you bought!

ReplyDeleteI know about Hudsons! Love that store... Didn't have one in my hometown, but nearby. Am still using some things I bought there on a trip years ago. Congrats on the great deals! :-)
