I am a first time dog owner. So with this first year of Bear's life have come a number of questions. He is so sweet and silly, he brings some of the best laughs to me.I bathed him a couple of days ago. He was not happy about that. He wrestled at first, then when he saw I was in charge, he bowed his head and tolerated it. Right after the rinsing cycle, I let him go to reach for the towel. Well I could not move fast enough. He shot off into the yard and rolled in the grass like crazy! Goofy guy! Then when I began drying him, the games began. He tugged and pulled and played like a puppy! That towel was yanked and dragged! He had the biggest smile on his face. Yes, I do believe that dogs smile! Mine does! :o)
After the wrestling match was complete and he was about as dry as I was going to get him, he laid himself out in the sun and went to sleep. Being bathed takes a lot of energy! :o) I reached for the camera and took this shot. He is such a joy to me! He doesn't always make the best choices, but he is sure special.
He looks so sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't dogs the best? Some days I like mine more than my kids...Mimi
ReplyDeleteI used to have a dog that did the same thing. It is like they are so happy it is over it brings them this adreniline rush. They act nuts and roll all over the floor. He is super cute, I love dogs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, fun boy you have there! I have a dog now for the first time in my adult life. They are such fun and joy and company. I can't imagine life without them.
ReplyDeletePS: Sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friends. I'm sure there is a special place in heaven (probably near the coffee pot there) for him.
