(working on a special scarf order)
I hope you have all had a fabulous first week of the brand new year. I am still trying to get into a routine and groove of sorts while cleaning out every nook and cranny, which I love to do.
The Christmas rag wreath came down and a new spring one went up in it's place.
Plus a newly covered magnetic board went up in my office/sewing room. I just love this sweet fabric!! I smile every time I see it.
The better part of today was spent taping off and giving a fresh coat of paint to the trim. Goodness, this room is a stinker to photograph. I don't get the best lighting in here. Do you see that cabinet? It is actually 2 from a little home project we did over Christmas. We ended up placing them side by side and using them as a table. I would really like to paint them white.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your sweet comments. I cherish each and every one.

ReplyDeleteYou really love crocheting. I think it must be habit forming!!
Your scarves are so vibrant, too.
I like the way you converted the cabinet to serve as a table.I'm trying to convert my loft into a work room for myself.
This week went by fast. I love the color of your trim. I have been having a terrible time trying to get this house back onto shape. It looks so bare. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is going to be wonderful! I admire your effort to clean. I hope you have a marvelous year! Twyla
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're busy! The magnetic board is a wonderful idea! Now, if we'd only stop removing walls in out house, I might have a place to use something like that!
ReplyDeleteLove the red and white crochet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
I don't blame you for loving the fabric on the magnetic board....quite darling. So old fashioned.
Hard to believe that the first week of the new month and year have flown by so quickly.
Happy weekend.
I'm trying to get going on routine here too...Once I get everyone back in school I can focus on THAT! Love that magnetic board.

I appreciate your blog so much and that you mention your love for Christ first. That in itself has a certain attraction to me! Have a blessed start to the New Year.
ReplyDeleteWe have been decluttering as well at home. I love clearing out, a lot went to Age Concern this morning, the boot of the car was full. Then we started on the loft this afternoon, so more stuff for the charity shop next week. I need to sort out a bag of material I have in the loft as I want to try my hand at making a little string of bunting for our hall. I found an easy one on YT so will give it a go. Happy crafting.
ReplyDeleteThat is so so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making a magnetic board as cute as yours! :) and yes, in response to your question of sanding for my dresser, yep, i sanded almost the whole thing but it wasn't bad, i just used my detail sander.
ReplyDeleteI love your magnetic board. Did you purchase the board and cover it? I have an old frame that my dad made years ago and thought that would be a great idea to put in the frame.
