It is hard to believe that the king sized quilt is finished, and all of it's crinkly goodness is on our bed. I feel like a new momma photographing her precious little bundle of joy.a few stats:
there are 440 - 5" squares
machine pieced
hand quilted using perle 8 cotton thread
(the quilting was done loosely)
binding was first sewn on by machine
and then stitched by hand
made with love

Trish, it is absolutely gorgeous... you do such great work. I am working on a rag quilt today. I made a quilted table runner the other day that came out pretty good, I will blog about it later today if you want to check it out! Have a blessed day :)

Wonderful quilt Trish. You have inspired me to try big stitch and just about 30 min. until my little quilt is finished. Binding on and then I will post. Glad to hear you used #8, I tried #12 on one block and pulled it out, you couldn't see it. I like this way of quilting, and how quilty it feels. Thank you again Trish.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! It is so lovely with all of your white furniture...what a wonderful place to wake up. :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! Quilting is one thing I've always wanted to do but can't so a stitch.
ReplyDeleteOh Trish, it's wonderful! It looks so beautiful on your bed in the sunshine and I see some fabrics I recognize too:>) This just goes to show that a quilt of simple squares can be just as pretty as some of the fancier designs. I need to get your source for that perle cotton thread, I have never seen it.
